Helping Hand has rendered enormous services in various areas of social development and its Orphan Support Program is one of many such programs. The Orphan Support Program (OSP) of Helping Hand helps in identifying the families in needy situations. It focuses on assisting children who have lost their parents or/and guardians and enables them to fit into the society morally, spiritually and mentally. The children are taken to schools while the older ones are taken to vocational training institutes, thus making them into productive members of the society. To this effect, in the various districts of Jammu & Kashmir and North West Province of Pakistan, more than 1000 children, deprived of their parents, are being supported through the local partners of Helping Hand. Similarly over 2500 orphan children are under the sponsorship of HH in Pakistan. These children are being provided with stipends, sufficient enough to bear the expenses of their education and their basic amenities of life.
